Keeping Local Dollars Working Here at Home
Beaufort County is where we live, work, raise our families, and build our futures.
But too often, the dollars generated here don’t stay here.
Scott Songer is running for Treasurer to help change that by keeping Beaufort County money working for Beaufort County people, businesses,
and communities.

Right now, too much of our community’s money leaves Beaufort County. That’s money that could support local businesses.
Create jobs close to home.
And strengthen the place we all care about. This campaign is about building a local economy that works for the people who live here, and making sure Beaufort County grows from the inside out.
Protect taxpayer dollars.
Use smart, modern financial practices.
Make sure our resources are strengthening our local community first.
When we invest locally, our businesses grow, our economy strengthens, and our future becomes more secure.

Scott Songer isn’t a career politician, he’s a builder.
For more than 25 years, he has helped businesses grow, manage capital, and navigate real-world financial challenges. He’s built companies, created jobs, and spent his career understanding how money moves and how to make it work smarter.
Scott and his family have called Beaufort County home for over a decade. He currently serves on the Beaufort County Recycling and Waste Board and has been actively involved in the community he cares deeply about.
He’s running for Treasurer with one clear goal:
Keep Beaufort County dollars working for Beaufort County.
Stronger Together is the start of a bigger vision for how Scott wants to support Beaufort County.
He believes in strengthening our community, local businesses, and making a long-term impact.
That’s why at the heart of his vision is StrongerImpacts, a nonprofit initiative that Scott and his wife Stephanie have launched that focuses on showing up in real ways.

StrongerImpacts is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to strengthening our community through connection, collaboration, and action. It is designed to grow over time. Some efforts will be long term. Others may be one time projects that respond to immediate needs. The focus is simple. Show up where it matters and build something that makes a difference.
Current areas of focus include:

Partnering with organizations like Interfaith Alliance to bring people together across backgrounds and beliefs.

Helping small businesses access funding, mentorship, and resources to grow locally.

Supporting local food systems, sustainability, housing, healthcare access, and responsible environmental efforts.
Strong communities are built together.
Whether you’re a business owner, nonprofit leader, volunteer, or neighbor who cares about Beaufort County, there is a place for you in this work.
